Gloucester Camera Club

Mark Kemp has written a software program, Pictures Version 2.2, for Gloucester Camera Club, to support competitions for digital projected images. It has been used in every digital projected image competition during several seasons of the Gloucester Camera Club and elsewhere, and has thus been tested thoroughly by several people, and also debugged and improved in the light of practical experience.

Mark says it is basically a slide viewer, but in fact it is far more than that; it has numerous features that make judged competitions very much easier to stage. These include:

::::::::::::::- On screen scoring
::::::::::::::- The option to ‘drop’ pictures so that they are no longer seen
::::::::::::::- A page of thumbnails to hold a shortlist of preferred pictures
::::::::::::::- Automatic score sheet generation

The current version is Rev 2.2.  This version includes the following changes:

::::::::::::::- An improvement to the thumbnails
::::::::::::::- Correction of a bug that occasionally occurred with dual screens
::::::::::::::- Improved “unhide” controls
::::::::::::::- Minor bug fixes.

The previous version on this web-site was Rev 2.0, which was a major rewrite introducing new features including the following:

::::::::::::::- Panel and Battle competition modes
::::::::::::::- Improved user interface.

This software is free for you to download and use.  If you or your club could make use of if please do so, and pass it on to anyone else who may want it.

Please click on the first link below to download a zip file. Then unzip the zip file and run setup.exe to install Pictures 2. The .net framework should be automatically installed if it is needed, but may also be obtained from the second link below.
