"Moguls and the Moon God"

Geoff presents his slides of India and Nepal. The similarities and differences of this rapidly evolving part of the world provide a fascinating stage for any keen photographer. We are delighted to have Geoff Stone to show us what he captured on colour film.

"Into my Imagination"

It is many years, if ever, since we welcomed one of the few female photographers in the MCPF showing a woman's view of the world of slides. This is an opportunity for the ladies to pay tribute to one of their own and for the men to show enthusiasm and interest in a different appreciation of the world.

An "AV" Journey with Malcolm Imhoff, FRPS

Malcolm is the Chairman of the National AV Championships and sits on the AV Distinctions Panel of the Royal Photo-graphic Society. We are also delighted to welcome his wife Maggie.

"My approach to Natural History Photography"

We welcome Philip for the first time to show us his splendid nature slides as well as giving us his tips of how to do it. This is an evening not to be missed.

Three Counties Battle

At Hereford against both the Hereford and Worcestershire Clubs. The Judge for this battle will be Philip Green. So you know the slides must be of a very high standard.

A Visit by Members of Hanham

Several members of the club where Peter Weaver is the Chairman bring their photographic images to show us and comment upon them. This is a new venture to which we shall be responding by a visit of some of our members to Hanham in the Autumn of 2008. Please ensure this initiative is successful by being present to make their visit worthwhile.

We welcome Andrew for the first time. He is the author and photographic illustrator of a splendid book of the flora of England and Western Europe.

"Winter in the Arctic"
Richard Sale

Richard's talk will include Iceland and Greenland. Whilst the places Richard visits are all cool not to say chilly, the effects of global warming are much in evidence.

"Skokholm and Handa"

A most popular visitor, Helen shows us the wildlife and landscape of two small islandsjust offshore Wales and Scotland.

Clive is a lecturer in Photoshop Techniques at Worcester Technical College. Tuesday is also the night on which the Worcestershire Camera Club meet so we are most grateful to Clive forpaying us a visit tonight. This is your opportunity. Do not miss it.

This will be our fifteenth annual Panels competition - five pictures with a common theme. We welcome Pete Johnson who accepted a last minute challenge to make the selection for last year's Annual Exhibition.

Mike is a retired electronics engineer who now keeps busy making cameras - precision engineering work with new designs - the Morgans of the photographic world. This is an evening to interest more than photographers - if you enjoy things mechanical, and precision in particular, you should not miss tonight.

"ODYSSEY" - The prints of the life of John Cartlidge EFIAP/s

We are delighted to welcome John - there is no more enthusiastic photographer. John travels from Cannock - home about midnight. Thank you John for being willing to undertake the long journey on our behalf.

Print and Slide of the Year

We welcome Peter Young CPAGB, APAGB to comment upon our prints and slides and bring joy to one printer and one slider and perseverance to all the rest. Peter is another who sacrifices his own club night to be with us.

1st April

MCPF Portfolio Prints and Slides

Don't be fooled. Tonight we have the MCPF Portfolio of prints and slides with a recorded commentary for our entertainment. This event required a lot of organisation by various club members in (and around?) Birmingham to put this show of photography by MCPF members like ourselves together.

8th April

PAGB Slides presented digitally

We saw them in this form for the first time last year. The pendulum has swung even further to digital since then - this show will tell us whither photography.

15th April

Annual General Meeting

Tonight we review and take stock of the current season's programme and the stewardship by the Committee. Next season's programme will be largely if not entirely finished, but if you feel there are improvements which could and should be made or you would like to take up the challenge of accepting one of the several special posts on the committee, now is your chance.

Annual Battle Ladies versus Gents

Fifteen prints and fifteen slides from each contingent. Our judge and commentator tonight is a friend of long standing, Martin Edwards from Bristol.

Bristol Salon (slides)

Slides contributed by entrants from all over the world. The best 400 or so slides and digital images from a total entry of 2,000 or more are presented to us in exemplary fashion by members of the Bristol team. A splendid finale to the indoor season at Gloucester.Guests and members of other clubs will be most welcome (Admission £4).
